One of our 6th classes at Mount Anville Montessori Junior School promoted the goal of ‘Character’ by having a cake sale for cancer research.
They took on this worthy project with enthusiasm and energy. Awareness of allergies was taken into consideration and the meticulous timetabling of classes to ensure that all ran smoothly was evident. This successful initiative gave the girls an opportunity to put some of the key words from Heritage & Horizon into practice, for example; contribute, enquiry, involvement, awareness of individual needs and roles. The girls were all positively affirmed for this initiative and in turn they feel valued and respected.
